It Begins!

2 weeks ago Punch! was born ... a night of house techno electro and all in between, at The Good Bits on Store St, Dublin 1. We have taken over The Cavern each and every Saturday night and are here to provide a clubnight unlike the numerous others in Dublin, a night that wont cost a bomb and brings you top international Dj's at reasonable prices in an intimate venue. I Colin, am going to be writing this blog, mainly music and related topics, there is no plan as of yet. So we shall just move on from here.

Resident Dj's are...

Arveene

Arveene has been playing in Dublin clubs and beyond since his was 16 years of age and has climbed the ladder of success with mighty gusto since – from his early club days he has went on to tour the UK twice on his own, opened for The Prodigy on many occasions, asked over as guest by Soulwax for their UK tour, regular at DURRR and other bespoke London discos – his tracks are now rocking the dance floor everywhere with the likes of Annie Mac, Erol Alkan, Boyz Noise and others getting behind him, currently writing tracks with Phil Splitloop and Nitemoves in the UK. Last year alone he has worked with Yo Majesty, Kitsune, Ed Banger, Calvin Harris, The Glass and Director. The infamous Rage against the Machine bootleg is now an official release on UK white label.

Colin Perkins

Colin Perkins is at the moment appearing all over, be it Electric Picnic ,techno club night Kontact in Belfast or RTE Pulse Radio. Colin has supported acts as diverse as Hot Chip Phil Kieran and Fergie in the past, his sets can be found across the web on sites such as soundcloud and myspace, Colin was born in Dublin 19 years ago , his first love were the drums and percussion, after losing interest in bands at the time,He was firmly set on electronic music and in 2005 began to Dj in clubs around the city, having played all over the place this summer, Colin is now focusing on his own productions in Windmill Lane Studios.

Lorcan Mak

Lorcan McDonnell AKA ‘Lorcan Mak’ was born in 1989 in Dublin, Ireland. He began Djing in 2002 and first took an interest in producing around the year 2004. His love for music began at an early age, experimenting with many musical instruments as a child. But in the end he chose the computer as his way to create music. Self thought in most industry standard DAW's (Digital Audio Workstations), Lorcan is renowned for his super clean, Techno Fuelled, House productions and his sub crushing Dj sets.

Josh Josh Josh

Began playing out in 2009, with a mix of heavy distorted bombs in clubs such as GaffParty at Wax and Think Tank, is now becoming more inspired by minimal techno and tech house, Biggest gigs include supporting John Gibbons at The Academy and David Holmes at The Good Bits in October this year . Now working hard on promoting Punch to the masses and creating something different for our scene here.
